Gay Beaches in and around Barcelona.
Only few big cities have gay beaches within a walking distance to the centre and Barcelona is one of them. Barcelona Gay beach at Barceloneta can be easily walked to from the Barceloneta metro stop, or by walking south (heading to the right) from the Olympic Port/Marina Village area.
Alternatively you can take an aerial tram to the beach from Parc de Montjuic. The beach here is typically full of hot guys and women, and there are several lively cafes and mainstream though gay-friendly bars along the beachfront here.
Closest to the Olympic marina, and therefore always crowded, this wide swathe of rough golden sand is great for food goers. There are three spotless beach bars, two immensely popular restaurants on the promenade behind (Mango and Chiringuito de Moncho) and countless bars and restaurants off the Port Olímpic just a short stroll away.
There is another gay beach called Platja de la Mar Bella. Its located to the left of the beaches (facing the sea front),
just by the sports building, Complejo de deporte de Platja de la Mar Bella.
Although Barcelona has it’s own beach at Barceloneta, many gay guys from all over Europe come every summer to Sitges, a popular gay village located 40 minutes by train or car from Barcelona.
